ANNOUNCEMENT
The EFG Committee would like to thank Jean Rogers for her work and dedication to the club over the last 20 years. Jean was one of the founder members of the club and has been its secretary since inception. She has worked tirelessly for the health and welfare of the breed and has decided it is time to pass the baton. Jean will be sorely missed but remains an integral part of the club having been given a lifetime member by the Committee.
Barbara Baldock and Lin Mullins are also members of the Committee who are stepping down and we thank them for their work over the last 10 years.

11. Health Report 2024
12. From the Kennel Club:-The Kennel Club has been approached by the Irish Kennel Club to request that we amend the nomenclature for your breed from Glen of Imaal Terrier to Irish Glen of Imaal Terrier, in recognition of the heritage status which they received for the breed two years ago and to mirror the name used by the Irish KC and FCI.
We feel it appropriate to request the views of the two Kennel Club registered breed clubs so that the Breed Standards Committee can have an informed discussion of the request before making any recommendation to the Kennel Club Board.
Initially, we would encourage the club committee to discuss this matter to see whether it would support such a proposal, given that this may have a number of ramifications including potentially the name of your club.
If the consensus of the club committee was supportive of such a proposal, then we would request that this matter be taken to a general meeting, such as the club’s 2024 AGM, as a voting item with members notified of the specific proposal in advance of the meeting.
13. Website: The webmaster, after twenty plus years, has indicated they will be stepping down after twelve more months in the job. So we need to hear from
anybody who is willing to take the job on
